Material in solar nebula is what created Earth. The formation would have occurred 4.6 billion years ago. Earth would have formed from metals, silicates and oxides. Scientist are able to calculate a date by using radiometric dating of rocks. Earth in it’s early age, was very hot with lots of volcanic activity. This period is know as Hadean Eon. Theoretically water may have came to Earth on a form of a comet, or was created from water vapor from the heat. The first evidence of life was around 3.8 billion years ago. Article By Logan McVickerWhat are the rings of Saturn made of? How big are they? Why are they there? The rings of Saturn were discovered in 1610 by Galileo Galilei. The particles that make up the rings range from tiny dust-like particles to a few as big as mountains. These particles are believed to be comets, asteroids and moons that broke up before they reached the planet. Saturn has four main groups of rings and three fainter groups all separated by gaps, or divisions. Each of these rings rotates at a different speed. The rings have a thickness of about 3,200 feet and span 175,00 miles. The rings were named alphabetically in the order they were discovered.
