Article By Zane LowryThe reason Venus has acid rain is because instead of water Venus's clouds are made of corrosive sulfuric acid. The thing is that it isn't really rain it evaporates before it hit the ground, the reason being is because Venus is so hot its able to melt some metals like lead. They say Venus is Earths Evil Twin because of all the carbon in the atmosphere and global warming. If we ever made it to Venus we would have to figure out how to survive the acid rain we would die in minutes. Maybe scientist could invent acid rain umbrellas. But I think im just gonna have to stay on Earth but who knows maybe we will have acid rain because of high pollution issues.

Article By Wilson Reitter The North Star is located nearly at the north celestial pole. The point where the entire northern sky turns. Polaris is seen on the constellation the Little Dipper. Polaris is not the brightest star, it’s actually the 50th brightest that we can see from Earth. Polaris will not always be the North Star though. In 3000 BC, Thuban was the northern star. Example of Northern Star Article By Wilson ReitterNo, a shooting star is not an actual star. It’s a small piece of rock or dust that goes through our atmosphere. Also know as a meteor. Meteors travel at around 30,000 mph in the atmosphere, with a temperature of around 3,000 degrees Fahrenheit. “ Most meteors burn up in the atmosphere before they can hit the ground.” If the meteor was to hit the ground it would then be a meteorite.
Article By Wilson ReitterPluto has been know as the smallest planet in our solar system. But today researchers classify Pluto as a dwarf planet. Pluto is 1,400 miles (2,300 kilometers) wide. Making Pluto smaller than Earth’s moon. What classifies Pluto as a dwarf planet you may ask? Well of course being only 1,400 miles has something to do with it. Also history and location in space plays a role for classification.
Articles By Wilson ReitterToday’s wonder is can we space travel. Well water is essential for humans so any where we go we need water. Mars being a closer planet to Earth, we think about going there someday. Nasa using an imaging spectrometer has found “signatures of hydrated minerals.” It appears that there is dark areas on slopes, where in the warmer seasons they flow and in cooler seasons disappear. “The detection of hydrated salts on these slopes means that water plays a vital role in the formation of these streaks.”
Article By Wilson ReitterA blue giant is an unique and very hot star. You can define a star's temperature by the color. The coolest stars are red and the hottest being blue. A blue giant’s surface temperature is around 20,000 Kelvin or more. Since blue giants are so hot they use up their fuel faster. Giving the blue giants a 100 million year lifespan or less. |
